Snow tires

From reading other posts it looks like snow tires are a must especially for the northeast. My question is, if I have some put on in say a month, can I use them all winter and take them off in the spring? I'd like to buy used wheels to switch them out when snow is coming, but if I can't find any, I was hoping to keep the snow tires on all winter. Thanks for the help!

That is what I am doing, I have a stock set of 20 inch wheels with my snow tires that I use during all the winter months then on spring when I am pretty sure there will not be anymore snow I put on my other stock set of wheels with the summer tires on them.

You should be able to use snow tires all winter and just take them off in the spring before it gets too warm. Snow tires don't wear well once the temps get over like about 70 on a regular basis and you will wear the tread down too fast if you keep them on after that.

Yes Snow tires are designed to be ran under 50 deg. temps. Don't worry if it goes above for a day or two. I put em on in Nov and dont take them off until April.
