TPMS Manual Re-learn Procedure and Dealer Update
Hey guys,
I've been trying to find a copy of the manual where it shows the instructions for the "manual relearn procedure". I just put on new winter rims and tires, and i need to do this to reset my TPMS. I just want to follow the manual on this one. My car falls into the window that this still works, although my question is if i bring it to chevy and they update the software on the car, will i lose this feature? From what i'm reading the newer cars with the new version of the software are not able to do it this way, so im assuming when they updates our software we will lose this feature as well? In this case it would make sense to buy the 60 dollar TPMS tool, as it would save money over time instead of having to pay for a rotation every 6 months when i switch my rims. Anyone have a copy of their manual? Anyone experience this with a dealer update? |

Any info on how an upgrade will affect the ability to do this?

I just did the manual relearn procedure on my 2011 by letting some air out of each tire. It is possible even though the manual says you need a special relearn tool from the dealer.
