supplier discount
I ordered my ZL1 last week and asked the dealer if I would be able to use my GM supplier discount with it and he said no. I understand that the discount is completely optional and that the dealer does not have to honor it. I just don't understand why you would honor it with every other vehicle on your lot and not for this. I'm just wondering if anybody is running in to this problem.

Participation totally optional. But won't be offered by GM on ZL1, so dealer won't have a choice on it anyway. You might just get some nice floormats at a good price though!

Welcome to the forums! This is a some what limited production car for the year 2012. If you waited for the 2013 model year then you might get that
discount. If your dealer is selling you the car for the MSRP that's about the best you could expect at this juncture. Make sure your dealer also has a confirmed allocation for some 2012 ZL1's. Some dealers if there low volume reps, then they may not get any untill the 13's come out.

Well, they told me that I'm getting their only allocation but my order is still stuck on 1102. Not even sure about getting it at msrp either. I asked about a dealer markup and the salesman said he didn't know whether or not there would be one. I know more about what's going on with the ZL1 than they do.

You better get MSRP in writing, that's the only safeguard you have against them screwing you!
