Couple nitrous questions
I have a small nos (nitrous oxide systems) kit that I'm interested in putting on my car. Its a nozzle, wet kit. I only have a couple bolt ons done to the car. I have a couple questions for you guys that have it on your car. (if you have no experience with this, no need to answer)
- can I run 125hp shot with the stock fuel pump? Tapping into the fuel rail.... This is how it was on my third gen with a 200hp shot, stock pump with an inline nos brand booster pump -should I go ahead and run a heat range colder plug? I think I have the part number for an Ngk... - how many degrees of timing should I pull? Is there a way to set it up to pull timing only while using it? Thx

2. Yes, you should run at least one step colder plug(B6EFS) but a 7 would be better. Some have run the TR6(4177) but it is a projected plug so a non-projected version like the BR6(3177) is better. People will probably say they have been running TR6's for years without a problem but I rather error on the side of caution. Here is a simple breakdown. Plug/Part# = Shot Size B6EFS(1 Step Colder)/3177 = 0-75 HP BR7EF(2 Steps Colder)/3346 = 75-150 HP B8EFS(3 Steps Colder)/1049 = 150-225 HP B9EFS(4 Steps Colder)/1085 = 225-300 HP 3. It is recommended that you pull 2* per 50 shot but all cars are a little different. There are many ways you can pull timing. To be able to do it only when the nitrous is active you can get the Lingenfelter box, IAT resister trick or EFIL COS.

Very much thanks for the info. I doubt I have even close to 400rwhp. My car only runs 12.40@112 right now. Just the simple bolt ons: tune, vararam, Jba mids, Magnaflow axle back, udp, and ported throttle body. So I guess maybe 350rwhp?
