short tubes or TB??

So I am on the fence on what to get. I have some extra cash and decided to treat myself and car to a early Christmas gift. I can afford doug thorley headers or I can get a RX throttle body. I chose the shorties because I do not want to have to tune the car to get rid of the CEL. So any advice?

You don't need to tune the car to use the TB.

yea i know. sorry should have explained better. I was thinking go with short tubes because with those you do not have to tune the car. I am starting to lean more towards the throttle body since you have to take the headers to be welded on and that cost more $ on top of the cost of the headers

Well the TB is 150 and I believe the last time I checked DT shorties are 350-400. I would chip off the most expensive first, just because it is easier to scrape up 150 later over 350+. Just a thought assuming you will be doing both anyways

Now that's the real cost. Anywhere from $250 to $350. I had mine done at the dealer as to avoid any warranty issues; so I paid a pretty penny.
