Hey, that looks nice!

Wait a minute, I got one of them, haha. Works real well too!

Ted's 4" KB intake now proven to 700 rwhp. Not shabby.

I have never had a single issue tuning a KB with the 4.5" tube and I've tuned quite a few of them. In fact if you were to call KB with a tune problem they would send you my way to fix the issue.

I know this was beat to death in the other thread but in my experience the 4.5" tube is perfectly fine.

Honeycomb insert provided in the KB tube to smooth air path limits top end HP. Ask me how I know. Yeah, you're right... this has beaten to death. I prefer to drop it...

The tube without the honeycomb never gave me any problems. The tube with the comb is not a restriction even over 1000rwhp.

No need to fix something that is not broken. I have none of the problems you are experiencing. I'm sitting in a 2010 car with a 4.2l KB that makes 920rwhp on pump gas and it drives like a stock car at 1k rpm. It has the KB 4.5" tube with the comb in it.
Maybe it's our superior southern air?

Here we go again. On the KB 2.8, honeycomb DOES cause losses starting around 560 rwhp and up. If you don't believe me just ask Matt at KB. Since I don't have larger KB, I never asked if honeycomb restricts flow at higher hp for the larger volume blower.

Glad to see options for the Kenne Bell.

My original KB intake and bypass tube needed cutting, grinding, and modification to work for my 2.8LC. Modifications needed for the new intake w/honeycomb and air filter to get the fender liner just to bolt back up.

Here's some pics of mods done to my bypass tube. I am satisfied with the raw performance, but would want better fit & finish.

If it is a restriction with the 2.8 at 560rwhp wouldnt you think it would also be at twice the hp?
