Question Removing/installing throttle body?

I'll be installing my catch can tomorrow and want to clean off the throttle body. How do I remove and reinstall the throttle body? I hear it's only 4 bolts, so is it really that simple? I'm not that great of a mechanic so I don't want to mess anything up LOL.

Yes it is that easy. 4 bolts. The key is to NOT over tighten the bolts on the re-install. It is only like 89 inch lbs. Not ft. lbs.

Look inside the intake manifold snout at the oil caught in the depression just inside the bottom of the snout. That needs to be soaked out with paper towel.

There is also a connector that needs to be unplugged.

It has an O-ring, not a gasket, the TB will fall off when the bolts come out, so hang on to it and the O-ring. I think the retorque is 89 in lbs.

The V6 is not an O ring, but a steel gasket. True I recommend hanging onto the TB when removing the bolts. And yes, I did post that it is 89 INCH lbs.

Be careful when applying the pressure back on those bolts.
