Air/Fuel Ratio

I recently installed a blower cam, heads, and whipple. I also installed afr gauge but I really don't know what I should be looking for as far as a safe number....what do you guys recommend?

12.1:1-14:1-1 blowers run best rich....anything higher then 14.1 is scary.

At WOT you want it to be around 11:1, no higher than 11.5:1

Really depends on the set up and whats best for you car. Id say 12.1 would be ideal. 11:1-11.5:1 is to fat unless your on a dyno.

At wide open throttle I have seen it peg on 10... The lowest my gauge goes is 10...should I get the tune checked out?

Yes that and your afr gauge. I believe juiced was talking abut 12.1-14.1 was a broad range. for idle to full rpm. Alot of people just run them fat for no reason other than it helps them slep better at night. What did you do for fuel system? Did you have the car tuned if so with what did you tune it with? 10 is wayyy off. There are alot of good tuners in texas or you can do the whole sct remote tune with ted be some good money spent either way.

I did have it dyno tuned by tes performance in Lubbock. I wanted Texas Speed to do it but they just moved and have yet to install their dyno. The Whipple kit came with a MSD fuel pump voltage booster along with 60lb injectors. So do you think I am at risk of damaging my motor? Thanks for the help

whipple and maggie cars at base boost levels generally end up around 11.5:1 when leaving my shop, situations do vary, but i never go leaner then 11.5:1 these are nearly 11.0:1 motors , leave a little on the table to keep them alive for a long time

Well its need to be checked out and changed if its truly that. There alot of usable performance with that tune I would guess. Like I said I like mine as close to 12 as it can get with the set up on the street. Now on the dyno it will be a little different because the car isnt under a load. Im good with it being in the mid 11s or high 11's I wouldnt be good with it being 11.3 or under i also wouldnt be good with it over 12 on pump ga. What kind of gas do yall have there? There may be a reason i would just go talk to TES and let them fix it or explain.
