Mines at the dealership today for this problem. Something has to be out of alignment because ribbed belts don't just split without a reason. Guess we'll see what they say...

I got mine back yesterday after dropping it off the day before. They replaced the belt and said everything checked out well. They think it was a defective belt. Everything else seemed aligned properly. I have a friend who said he went through 2 belts almost back to back on a Pontiac Soltice with in the first 5000 miles.
My dealership is also really cool and very "mod" friendly.

I have had SEVERAL A/C belts that split on me, I went to Autozone and purchased their Duralast Brand Belt and haven't had an issue yet. I have had the Autozone belt on for about 20,000 miles now.
The belt that I bought was a Duralast Brand - Part #: 373K4. I do have the Innovators West 8-Rib Pulleys on my car, but I don't know if there is a difference in part number or not. |

Forgot to come back and update on mine...
New belt installed, re-torqued crank pulley and checked run out to ensure it was still within spec. If it happens again, they said they'd replace either the crank pulley or the A/C compressor pulley/unit. Back on the road and doing fine for now...

Mine looks identical...were there any noises that came with this condition during or prior to splitting? I have a bit of a clicking sound when idling that is not constant. It is not the injectors making this sound. This is a different sound.
