Just wanted to let everyone know the first event for Targa Trophy will be on Saturday March 31st. Cost is $250 and includes:

This is a road rally event and points are given for completing a certain route and various tasks along the way. Last year they had a ton of different cars, from Z06 vettes and cts-v's to twin turbo lambos. They are expecting an even bigger turnout this year.

Hey Everyone,
I ended up getting my car up and running last Friday and made it down to SoCal for Targa Trophy. Not many people seemed interested in the event, and with good reason because there was no info on what exactly you would be doing. I thought I would share my thoughts on the rally from this past weekend.

This was the first event of 3, plus a NYE event in San Diego as well. Each event has a different theme; this one was German cars, so there were plenty of Audis, MBZ, BMW and Porsches, but we also had 2 other camaros show up as well, 1 white SS and a red V6. In total, there were 130 cars that showed up, even a Bugatti and the new Aventador made an appearance, along with Lambos, Ferrari, and an SLR and SLS.

When we first arrived; we still were not told what to expect. Everyone lined up to pull out of the HRE parking lot and just as we were leaving, we received our info packets. This told us all of our destinations and the tasks to do.

Examples:
Drive to a restaurant, buy a drink and take a pic in front of the restaurant, take a rolling shot of a surfer, drive to a golf course and tee off, go to various dealerships (Porsche and Audi) and another clothing store in downtown San Diego, and eventually end up at the Hard Rock Hotel.

At the end, they event did a raffle, the grand prize being 50% off a set of HRE rims!

The rally took 3-5 hours depending on if you get lost or not! (WE DID!!!!) There were plenty of cops out pulling people over, and we pissed off one resident to the point she threw a garbage can at a corvettes side mirror!

We talked to a couple participants at the Hard Rock Hotel and someone in a 997 even got a gun pulled on them on the highway on the way to San Diego!

To say the least, it was absolutely amazing and I plan on running the event on May 19th in Orange County. I believe the cost is still $250/2 person team. It'd be cool if we could get a group out there to participate in the rally!

So I joined Pyroboy on the rally this weekend, all I have to say is Hell Yea!
It was pretty much a fast-paced, slightly risky, but suuuper fun high class car scavenger hunt!

I recommend taking part in the future to everyone, definitely worth the drive and the time.

It would be really cool if we could get a C5 group together and do something like this!!
