CATCH CAN

so my eyes do not lie, changed oil at 5k..second time since catch can install. and same results....1 to 1.5 ounces of oil came out. some may disagree with having this on car, but my eyes see it, and if not in the catch can? where would it go?? engine, thats it for me.

I agree, I have nothing going into mine at all, but rather not chance it. Besides takes up a spot in my empty engine bay

Just did a Heat Black Ice-olator and ported intake manifold install this morning and after 5k miles on the car not so much as a detectable film in the old IM. When it was installed the intake was saturated. Small price to pay for the peace of mind....1-3 MPG improvement on the avg passenger car or light truck, and no need for upper induction cleanings.

I agree here, I just change my oil at 17K and I put my catch can on at 10k. I checked my catch can and there was not one drop in the can it wasnt even dirty it was sparkling clean. I guess when the milage gets higher I will start to see something in there or maybe not but its there either way. I also took my CAI off to clean and re-oil it and I did have some oil residue on the inside of my throttle body it wasnt thick just a thin layer and a black ring around the butterfly. Just my 2.5cents.

Are you saying that you have no oil in your catch can at all after driving it 7,ooo miles with it installed, but you have some in your throttle body? Something doesn't sound right about this.

I have 1800 miles on my 2012 camaro (LS3) and I get a half an ounce in 100 miles of city driving with a homemade husky Catch Can.

Here is the install.
