All I have to say is WOW FEDEX!! UNREAL

I am LIVID WITH FED EX RIGHT NOW!!!

I sold my wheels and shipped them out via fed ex..packaged them good as shown in the pics but in the 2 days that it took them to deliver it fedex managed to nick up the wheels (which im insured up to $1200)...i submitted a claim for the buyer and they are investigating it right now...i told the guy to get a quote on how much itll be to repair but fed ex ended up picking them up before he could..But I contacted a local repair place that lives where the recipient lives and he quoted at $125 per wheel..Emailed the lady who is working on the claim and she responds that shes looking at the report today and will get back to me (this was yest and she didnt get back to me)... THENNNNNNN come to find out. fed ex shipped 1 YES 1 of the wheels back to me and as we speak its in transit to be delivered back to me with the 3 other wheels still at the recipients local fed ex facility!!! The whole purpose of them picking up the wheels from the buyer was just for INSPECTING it and then they were going to redeliver it..I even called customer service and they even reassured me that they would be redelivered back to the buyer.. ANd NOTE this wheel is UNPACKAGED!! ITS BARE NAKED with no package whatsoever...I called and spoke to a supervisor and shes said she will take care of this and make sure the package doesnt get shipped back to me blah blah blah...I could only imagine what the wheel looks like!!! FED ex better man up and give the buyer the FULL amount of what the WHEEL costs since more then likely he will have to get it replaced....So aggervated with fedex right now..this has been an crazy and hair pulling experience that I have ever had with a shipping company!! heres the pics and how i packaged the wheels!!

That's incredible. I mean it looks like you bundled those things up tight and they still came out like that? What a joke, that had to be willful negligence. Simple handling wouldn't cause that. Throwing them around the warehouse floor or dropping them off the truck are the only things I can think of.

Any pictures of the wheels before you shipped them or of the condition of the packaging when it arrived at the recipient before he unwrapped them. Rule #1 when something arrives damaged, take pictures of damaged packaging.

Damn! This is why people are afraid to buy wheels from others online. As long as it's insured though.

Sorry to hear that, FEDEX is usually pretty reliable. I always cringe when someone sends me something trough UPS. I do hope they take care of it for you. I know it will be hard, but try not to condemn or punish all FEDEX delivery people for this. Take a deep breath......hopefully it will work out.

Easy for me to say, huh.

Same exact thing happened to me when I sold my stock Vette rims a few months back. I packaged them up in boxes and cushioned them, FedEx even put a fragile tag on it and two rims got beat up pretty bad. The long and short is that I filed a claim, never heard back from them but the buyer did. FedEx claimed it was my fault and the packaging wasn't good enough which was BS so I wound up refunding some of the money to the buyer. I have heard from a lot of people that FedEx is impossible to deal with on claims.
