Squeaking after header installation.

My car squeaks during hard right turns since I had my headers installed. I put it on a lift today and tightened down all the clamps which were a little loose but still squeaks. The guy who installed my headers and from what I've read on here is that you only want to tighten the headers on to around 15lbs of torque. I'm sure the squeaking isn't normal but I have only started hearing it since about 5 days after the installation. Maybe the headers aren't on tight enough.
Any ideas will be greatly appreciated, I'd hate to be driving down the road if something goes wrong. Thanks.

Headers size (1 7/8" or 2") and brand?
If it happening on right turns it sounds like the header is rubbing up against something when there's a transfer of weight.
There should be no squeaking.

I would climb under the car with a flash light and look for places where the header is really close to the frame, bolts, etc. It doesn't have to be touching at rest to rub going around a turn.
I've seen this on GTOs (headers rubbing on right turns - from contact with frame bolts).

I'm not saying this is your issue, but its something to look at.

No, well not that I know of and I checked everything to make sure there was no rubbing. I just thought maybe the bottom weight of the LT's swayed during the hard turns causing the squeak. It makes me think its the passenger side header since it only squeaks on right turns. I had an oil change with a 24point inspection a couple weeks before that done by the dealership but thats been the only maintenance done.

1 and 7/8 Stainless power, Stainless Works headers. If it looks close to anything its the steering column but its still a half inch or so away from the headers. I read where some have to ding there headers so it doesn't rub on the steering column but that wasn't my case.

I just installed my stainless power headers last night and the drivers side is rubbing on the steering shaft on hard right turns. It sounds like you might be having the same problem as me. I am going to call SW today to see how they are going fix this issue.

1/2" clearance away from steering column should be plenty. My headers have about 3/8" clearance and I have no issues. I'd say it's something else.

What type of sound is it? If the header was rubbing the steering shaft or any part of the frame it wouldn't sound like a squeak? It's more of a metal scratchy sound it its barely touching the steering shaft or it will be a vibrating bumpy noise like a crack addict doing Morris Code!
Sounds like something else?

It's from rubbing your steering column. My Doug Thorleys do this too...hope you have better luck than I did. I called and had them send out another set that was supposed to fit but it rubbed in the exact same spot. Just for reference, I have 1 7/8" headers too. Very annoying and makes me mad because the steering column has a ring around it from it rubbing.
