Porter Cable #7346

Is this Porter Cable 6" Variable-Speed Random Orbit Sander good for polishing cars?

The model number is #7346, which is different from the model numbers listed in the Detailing Sticky so I want to confirm it is good before buying it.

Its fine. They have different model #s because they come with different accessories. You'll just want to make sure you get a backing plate.

Do you already have everything else you need for polishing? At least with the Adam's kits, you wind up saving a lot by purchasing the ready-made kits instead of trying to piecemeal it together one bit at a time.

7336sp is packaged with sanding accessories, 7424xp isn't. The tool itself is exactly the same.
