Wow. That's.... uh, yeah. That is.... not very good.
I'm not being a hater, but what aside from being on a tv show qualifies this guy to be a vehicle designer? The car doesn't need a design, the original design is great as it is, all he did was throw on paint, graphics and new leather which i'm sure he didn't do. I could have done that. Leave this area to guys like Chip Foose that do much more than change the car cosmetically. BTW, what's w/ the shot of the door trim? Is he taking credit for the ambient lighting too?

How does this classify as a "Build"? He slapped some decals on the car, changed the shifter nob and put on some new seat covers. Its more like a mod, not a built car.

I watch the show all the time, and love his bikes, but I'm not feeling this design.
On a positive note, I did notice on the preview that he put a Whipple on it! |

I'm gonna be mr. positive... i appreciate creativity, and where he was TRYING to go with it, but it was not done well.
I'm a big fan of flat black, and i think the rivets could work, but the side rivets are just the wrong lines to go with the C5. Needs more angles, not swooping curves. But yea - let Chip give it a try. Even if 89% of his builds are two tone, they always look good. And Lets go Bears - Beat Xavier. |

It's all about the TV show. Without that, those two businesses would have folded long ago.
Leave the custom cars up to guys like Foose. TV doesn't do a lot of his cars justice. I saw one of his Mustangs in person a few years ago... freakin awesome. He knows how to use the lines of a car in a good way, and really has an attention to detail. I like the way his two tones kind of stand out as his. I walked up to a '68 Mustang at a car show that was two tone dark gunmetal gray and silver with some yellow/orange pinstripes. I mentioned to my friend that it looked like something Chip Foose would do... and he walked up behind us and said - yes I would and did! Stunning paint work and complimenting color use. |

Looks like he took the Bike build off a little far and took the Rivet concept one step further... not a fan, it does not look right IMO.
