Red face Any where besides cig lighter?..

Yes i'm back for another question lol, is there any where else besides cig lighter i can tap into? really don't wanna mess with center console... Thanks hope someone can chime in..

I don't know who told you that, but it is the perfect place to tap into the power source. The side pops open really easy and you can tap into the fuse box and just run your wires. I use an inline fuse for with my power line.

He's referring to me. I suggested not tapping into fuses like that. It's not clean and is basically not what anyone who does electrical work would suggest. Fuse tapping at the fuse box should be a last resort, not a first option.

OP: The center console is an easy area to access. You don't ever have to take apart the whole thing. The running panels on each side are held in by clips so they come off easily. Leaning the seat all the way back helps with removal. Then there are 4 #2 phillips screws holding on the back panel of the console, that's all you need access to.

What are you needed to power up? Radar detector? Interior lights?

I used a piggyback adapter and tapped into the power source of the 4 pack aux guages i think its #17 on the side of my dash in the fuze box.

I used a hot I knew would turn on and off by the key for my radar.

No green wire where cig lighter is just red n black.
