Question

Haven't changed spark plugs on the new style large boot system cars. Changed all my own in the 60's .Want to pull my wires boots and plugs & check out the condition of my plugs (coloration). Anything I should be careful of when removing these new style boots ? Know about using anti seize on the spark plug threads and hand starting the plugs. Can someone help out with the torque spec on the plugs for the L 99 engine. Thanks in advance for any help on this.I am really interested in seeing if there is any fouling et'c.One last thing can you get all the plugs out from the top side ?

15nm or 11 lb ft. boots should come right off nothing to it, if they are stuck try twisting a little before pulling on them. theres so much room in that engine compartment i dont see you having a problem changing them.

Thanks will get on it monday.Used to buy the manuals in the old days, got a garage full of Motor Repair manuals from the 50's - 60's which I used to have. The manuals were affordable then. The new one's ran a pretty hefty penny when I checked them out when I first got the car.

don't use anti seize. The factory don't use AS on spark plugs either, and if it get on the plug itself you will be SOL. Just take your time and make sure you tq them down to spec and make sure it's gapped correctly.
