Lets do some market research and get a product to market!
I'd really like to have one of the cupholders from rickscamaros but they are rediculously priced, $50 plus like $10 to ship, and I have never seen any kind of substitue product on the market so lets show all the vendors that there is a market and maybe someone will make a similar product that is not overpriced, not to mention adding a substitute product will put downward pressure on the existing one. I think this need gets overlooked cuz it doens't add hp or mpg but it addresses a major design flaw from gm, particulary for a stick. And I've heard many ppl say they like it but like me they won't pay the gouging price for it. So we need to show the vendors and entrapenuers out there that there is enough of a market for these that they can sell enough at a reasonable price to make a good profit!
Attached is a pic of what I'm talking about and they make it in a single as well as a double for the back seat. So lets say this product was around $30 or $35 shipped, how many of you would buy it? If not then what price would make you a buyer? I hope this post gets really big and I or someone else can show this market to someone who can produce it! |

aron77. i would go for the double cup holder.
also another big issue is not passenger oh crap handle. i can think of a chevy or much less any other make not having one. every passenger that gets in has no where to hold on to.

Looks pretty good. Today was my first drive to work in my new Camaro. I didn't even make it out of the garage before realizing the cup holder really sucks in a manual and I'm gonna have to figure out an alternate strategy for my morning coffee.

I like it and would definately buy one for the right price...like you said $25-35. For $50 plus shipping from the other company I would think it would have come with the cupholder delete cover.

Just the usual price gouging from the aftermarket for the 5th gen. 95% of the products out there for the 5th gen are ridiculously priced. That's what happens with such high demand.
