thought it was funny

a guy i know has a 09 or 10 mustang, and was going all on about oh yeah my car is too good to have ever seen rain, trust me. i asked if he'd ordered it from the factory, or just bought it off a lot. answer: bought it off a lot. i then proceeded to make him think a little. does it occur to him that while that car is sitting OUTSIDE at the dealer, and it rains, the car is wet!! Alot of people talk like "my car has never seen rain" but do they really think when they make comments like this? i realize if you order a car, and pick it up as soon as its delivered, then garage it, okay, only seen perfect conditions. some people are just over protective i feel... i know they're expensive, so be cautious, but isnt that also reason enough to enjoy it while we can?

All the current ZL1 were left out in snow and Chevy test the Camaro for leaks by having simulated rain fall on it

They sit outside in a parking lot exposed to the elements at the factory. Any Camaro owner who thinks his car has never seen rain hasn't seen the pics from the Oshawa plant.

I don't mind having my Camaro stationary in the rain, just hate driving on rain soaked roads.

I dont mind driving mine in the rain or snow. When I first got the car I never wanted anything to even go near my car and i wouldnt take it in the rain for the first few months but you get over it eventually. Dont get me wrong though I still keep mine in pristine condition, it even has the new car smell after a year and 6 months

When people tell me that I always ask the question, "Is it that you haven't driven it in the rain or it has never even been rained on"? Usually makes them think, if they give me the answer that it hasn't been rained on, then I bring up the whole sitting at the factory, shipping on a truck, etc.
