L99 VVT-3 Cam question
I recently bought this: https://www.texas-speed.com/p-260-ts...t-package.aspx and have already started the install my self with a couple of my buddy's. I'm at the point right now where I have the new cam in already, with new oil pump, cam gear, new chain tensioner, and timing chain back on, i'm waiting for my heads to get back from a friend porting for me. but my question is about the Cam Phaser limiter kit....is it supposed to come with the kit? because when the package got here there was no phaser kit. i'm really confused right now and I don't really know what it does, I suppose I probably should of done research on it. Really hoping I don't have to take stuff apart again. starting to regret buying an Auto. Thanks for the

Yes , that should have been part of the kit and a must if your doing a VVT3 cam. Just be very careful to follow the instructions when doing it ,other wise you will have a flying spring going across the room and then its game over !

Thanks I called TSP and they looked at my order and said they forgot to put it in and there gonna send it for free with upgrading shipping, so I guess I have to take oil pump off again and take the gear off again to get it on

You dont have to remove the oil pump. Just losen the cam bolt and the VVT gear will wiggle out.Just make sure you are dot to dot at top dead center before you remove the gear from the cam. Make sure you are dead on when you put it back on and you will be fine.
