anyway to spot a Trifecta tune?

I am very interested in a Trifecta tune and was wondering if I reflash my car, would the tune be detectable?

Nope, the tune comes with a transparency option. Also it is said the v6 ECM doesn't have a flash counter.

That is what I heard too. I am scared of going in for work and for my warranty to be voided

I just flashed mine I doubt they can check back after transparency mode and even if so I'm sure they can check all the ecu changes just load the stock tune like 10 times

From past experience how much can these chevy dealers REALLY know. There is not a lot of dealers who know anything about how cars work.

You can "see" how many keystrokes (ie starts) the ECM has had sense the last tune load. That will definetly tell the service manager something is up if your car has xx,xxx miles and a very few start cycle.

I've been told (by a reliable source) they can detect anything done to the ECM if they dig deep enough into it, which they only do in extreme cases. The everyday service tech would not have the ability to do this.

I am in the same boat, but which do you want more? Possibly better performance or voiding your warranty? Can't truly have both, but as long as you don't do anything crazy, chances are you'll be fine if you do get a tune. Just don't act all surprised/cheated if something goes wrong and the dealer tells you to take a hike... Also some dealers are more... "understanding" than others...

Just a FYI the LLT ECM does not have a counter. But the TCM does.

If you check the settings it will show it. ( Reflash History)

Very interesting. I knew that nobody had found evidence of a counter on the ECM, but I never thought about the TCM having one.

Plan? Plan for what? Either you want a tune or you don't, it's that simple!
