got a call from gm, they just told me to get it replaced and that they will call me in a week to check up on it...i told them its gonna keep happening and I'm gonna keep complaining. my dealer looked at me like i was crazy that i wanted to replace the part...well I'm gonna keep asking them to replace it until they get tired of paying to replace it and find a fix. waste of time and gas.

I apologize with the experience you had at the dealership. If you would like, I would like to set up a case with GM Customer Service to see if there are any available options to you. Please send me your first and last name, address, phone number, VIN, mileage and involved dealership.

I look forward to your reply!

GM's tech team is supposed to have an answer for me tomorrow on this. So I am keeping my fingers crossed but doubting they have came up with a worthy fix/solution for this.

Mine is doing it too. Honestly, the only way we're going to see a fix is to keep bringing the car in to the dealer so they can document the issue. If they replace it, gm will take notice because they keep paying for parts and repairs on the same issue.

So far ours is bubble free. We have had a lot of 90+ sunny days with the top down in the past month and 1/2

Have an appointment Tuesday to get this replaced along with my shifter knob which is loose. Service manager says he needs the Silver Streak for 2 days, they are giving me a loaner. I'll keep everyone posted in what happens.

Getting mine in on Monday. Supposed to only take them a day to replace the dash, no loaner for me. Maybe I'll ask, see if I can get a 'vette.

What's wrong with your shift knob?
