Smallest rim that will fit

I was thinking since the zl1 has no spare wheel
To buy a steelie rim as a spare
Would that fit ?

I have been thinking th esame thing but for a different reason. I want to put together a winter wheel and tire combo to use for approximately 3 months a year. I was wondering if the stock 18" wheels will fit over our brakes. If not that how about the 19". I know I will get flamed for this, but it will be my daily driver.

An 18" will fit in the trunk where the foam can is under the floorboard. You need an adapter to fit over the brakes. If you use the 18" as a spare in the back, turn off traction control.

I have a set of winter wheels ready to go for my ZL1. They happen to be the aftermarket wheels (20" TSW Nurburgrings) that I had bought for my SS, and I have Pirelli Scorpion Snow and Ice tires mounted on them. I don't know if I would go much smaller than a 19" wheel and tire set, since you may need an adapter to clear the brakes.

These three companies make 17's that will fit both front and rear. Keep in mind the front is like a 4.5"-5" wide wheel for a skinny. These are drag racing specific. Not really a driving everyday wheel.
