car rough idle

Even if I let it warm up it still has a rough idle. Is this normal with these cars or should I not feel anything after it warms up.

It's a high-performance engine with a bit of an aggressive camshaft. You should consider your rough idle to be normal...and cool.

It feels good doesn't it!

It depends on what you think is a rough idle.... Are your RPM's jumping all over? Or does it just have a slight shake to it?

I don't call it a rough idle either. The RPM needle stays pretty consistent. I always tell people that don't understand cars that these cars hate idle and wanna go!

I think that's pretty normal. Mine does the same thing as well. I wouldn't worry unless it's a pretty good drop in RPM's at a time.

Similar situation here too. Seems normal and expected. RPM gauge is pretty steady. Feels good!

What may be best is to contact your local dealership for support on this concern you are having. If you feel like it isn't performing as designed, it would be best to get diagnosis. If you have further questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact me via PM.

Mine was pretty erratic and rough depending on engine temp, outside temp, phase of the moon, etc. I wouldn't worry too much. Just put it a cam and it will rough idle all of the time. It's a beast and wants to breathe. Just take a look at the stock intake. Looks like it was designed by a committee from Congress...

my 2012 has a rough idle when first started but then smooths out once warm but still has a little shake every couple of seconds. what I would like to know that everytime I come to a stop light. while sitting their my car will give me one good shake and the rpms will drop alittle. does that sound normal? car only has 300 miles

Mine does the idle shake, too. Thought something was wrong when I first got the car. I've learned it's part of this engine's character. 6,000 miles and running strong
