Smile Lurking here for a long time.

Almost 3 years to be more precise. These days my likes go from the Vettes to the new Chargers, exotics and more. Today's cars are as fascinating as before. But, the first car that I fell in love with for the first time was a Camaro, and yeah, I was a complete ignorant towards cars until then.

My name's Valeriu, turning 18 in a month and moving to Montreal in a year. I live in the country which had undoubtedly the most varied car choices in the world, and widely available to the whole population, from Toyotas to Renaults and Buggatis. I live in United Arab Emirates, the country where seeing awesome cars becomes a normal thing.

My life story is not the happiest of them all that exist on this website or in the world. I left my home country (Romania) to move here at the age of 13, so I'm in the UAE for 5 years already. Where I live now it's the 3rd largest city in the country (around 500k people), but there are many aspects that, in the prism of a normal Western(ised) society, are utterly ridiculous. I was legal to work at the age of 16 but since then, due to the awesome (not) general employment mentality of the employers, they would rather employ an Indian or Filipino, which is way more expensive, to work at things such as supermarkets, fast food stores, restaurants, even auto shops (which also feature some low-paid Arabs), to work in their businesses rather than students who already live with their parents and help them gain some job experience. Long story short, I'm unemployed for almost 2 years and still looking to do anything that could keep me busy, with the school schedule here and the lack of schoolwork I have to do. This shows clearly the paradox: "Need experience to have a job, need a job to have experience", in which the employment shifts to the left than to maintain a balance of skilled/unskilled workers. Another thing worth mentioning is that the driving age here is not only 18, the driving school costs a ****ing bollocks amount of $1000, which if you got a decent-paid job here it's not a big deal, but for a student which relies on parents' money, it's a huge amount of money.

My movement from here to Montreal (Canada) is almost 50% complete, since I want to do the university in a more "normal" country with a more normal society and to escape the "fairytale" reality here where you're given anything and they don't expect to get shit back. I'm looking forward that this will be a clean start for my life, where I simply push the reset button and actually be who I exactly am, not what people expect me to be.

If I manage to catch a well-paid job, it's without doubt I'll buy myself a Camaro, even if that means having to make a deal with a bank (be sure it will be the first and last), or the most basic LS Camaro, since I'll be living with my aunt and with my 4 cousins in their mansion, I need only money for my food, some $200-400 for rent and rest for myself.

Looking forward to meet you lads in a near or distant future, and remember to keep your speed to the posted limits.

Ultrakiller, Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, dad's, wive's, husband's, girlfriend's and boyfriend's here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!
