I'll be making another Route 66 trip (from start to finish) in September. Sadly, it wont be in the Camaro this time..........I'll be in a rental, most likely an Impala or Malibu. If this thread is still alive, I hope to have a lot of good pics. And if not, I'll still post some.

Took a 130 mile Camaro ride today. What a great day. Drove to Calhoun County Illinois. Took a ferry ride back across the Illinois River into Grafton IL. Stopped at the Lewis and Clark Confluence Towers in Hartford IL. Lots of River action in this area.
Camaro on the ferry, driving down the Great River Road along the Mississippi, and in front of the towers.

Wow, what a bunch of GREAT pics! I am inspired, because my car has been to some great places, I just don't have pics from them...

But, here's a few that I do have:

From the top of the Astoria Column, in Astoria OR (2nd from left):

With the bad boy of American institution (and yes, they did ask permission before touching the car...):

At the Pacific Ocean, just outside of Florence, OR:

And near the top of Mt. Ranier, with Ladybug & a few friends (I'm the 6th from right):

My wife and I ditched the kids and took a road trip down Hwy 1, the Coast Highway in northern California. We followed the coast through Sonoma and Marin counties and ended up at the entrance to San Francisco Bay.

Yep those 19" rims look better than all the other options for that year. 20 and 21" is overkill and just look big and bulky.

I grew up listening to that. Chevy was a sponsor for the Bonanza TV show on Sunday night in the early 60s and she sang that song. Brings back memories as a kid.:flag1:

Can't wait for my roadtrip, going from central FL to Pittsburgh, PA then on to San Diego CA in May. Maybe a 6.2L v8 wasn't the most economical choice, but I just don't care, 3600 miles of smiles are on their way soon.
