Factory Resonator Delete?

Hi Camaro Enthusiasts!

I purchased a new 2012 2SS RS LS3 car last week and noticed that there is no resonator. There appears to be "normal" pipes connected with band clamps that run to the rear of the car up to the mufflers. The pipes apper to have a balance tube connecting them. The mufflers are stock type also.

Is this an engineering update to the car? Is this a possible factory option? All I've seen so far are pics of the box type resonators that are often removed for a cat back system or resonator delete.

Thanks!

Jeff

The LS3 cars don't have the extra resonators, just the L99 and v6 cars.
