Installing USB port

Hello All,

I bought a 2011 LS model that didn't come with the USB port. I'd like to install one. I'm having trouble finding info about it.

Has anyone purchased/installed the USB cable?

Thanks in advance for any and all help!

I think you want the personal device interface module. There are vendors on this site that sell these GM products. is one. Here is one fom eBay. This should give you a better idea of what I'm talking about. Good luck!

^^^ Agreed. You can purchase the PDIM and install the hardware yourself. However, you will need to have your radio reprogrammed by a dealer so that the radio can recognize the new hardware. Dealer should not charge more than $100 for programming
