MT DRs, will they fit?

I have the vette rims for my drag radials and I will be needing new tires soon. I have been running the MT 305/45-18 and was wondering if I can use the 305/35-18 but they say its for a 10-12in rim where the 305/45 calls for 9.5-11in rim...Will they work?

The 305/35 will work, they're smaller then the 305/45s in both width and sidewall.
