how to clean window glass?
i have some dryied up rain drops that windex cant remove.
is there a way to remove them |

I use Meguiars Perfect Clarity Glass Cleaner and a sheet of newspaper to clean my windows. The news paper is just abrasive enough to remove junk form the windows and leave them streak free.

I spray glass cleaner on it, really heavy then take steel wool. Works like a gem. Used to work at a detailer in college and thats all we used.

I keep a bottle of 50/50 water/vinegar on a garage shelf for cleaning many things, including glass. Works like a champ. If you're hell bent on spending money, RainX will also do the trick. (FYI...RainX works great on bugs on the windshield.)

FYI I usually use a 0000 steel wool on windshield with glass cleaner as both lubricant and cleaner. The steel wool will scratch mirror glass (at least it did on a car of mine). I believe the rest of the glass should be ok, try a little spot to be sure.
Rain-X windshield, etc. after to help prevent new spotting. Hope this helps. |

I was just about to post this very subject, thanks. Wonder if it is the type window they are using, but the waterspots on my door windows is really bad. I was trying "generic windex", aka "Great Value" window cleaner from Wallyworld.
Where do you find 0000 grade steel wool? |

Also try Mother's Water Spot Remover...worked pretty well for me in removing water spots
