Real world Boss 302 vs. 1LE Virginia magazine laptime
I was on youtube and came across this. For the 1LE fans Uh Oh this might be a shocker. I don't know of the possible mods of this Boss if it has any at all but the lap times crushes the Magazine posted 1LE times.(

Sweet Vid. Not a lot of room for mods...the standard being camber plates. Really helps with tire life more than anything else though, eliminates the feathering on the outside edge...thinking of going that route myself.

I wouldnt be surprised at all if the Boss beats the 1LE on the strip and track. The Boss is made with a track focus while the 1LE seems like just options you can add to the already heavy SS. I think the Z28 will be the Boss' main competitor and if there comes a Z28 with the ZL1 suspension, game on!

This video says it's a Laguna Seca as well, not the standard Boss that the 1LE was compared too.

yeah...the standard boss is more comparable...but dudes, my buddy in Memphis has a Boss...it has some cool gadgets in it. I think that car is pretty slick.

Is this the same track/configuration the 1LE was tested on? It doesn't look the same as the videos I've seen, but I could be wrong. But I agree that I think the Luguna Seca version of the boss would be faster then the 1LE.

1LE will be more on the line of the BOSS 302. LS is in a different category, but if they would just pull the trigger on the SSX it would have a competitor. I really think there is a market for it as proven by the BOSS 302 LS.

Actually there isn't that much difference between the LS and the "Street" Boss 302. Hence why I decided to save the extra $6k.

The 1LE press releases mention the LS, not the standard 302. If this is the case, then GM over hyped another car.

Larger grippier tires, different suspension settings, larger sway bars, rear seat delete brace. The trans scoop, chin spoiler and brakes ducts are shipped to owner separate so are just as easy to install on standard Boss.

To me the SS with 1LE option is comparable to the Mustang GT with Track Pack option. If a Z28 is produced, it will be the Boss rival.
