Any traffic stop yet?
My salesman and I took the dealer's camaro for a test drive last week and was stopped by the police. The officer smiled when he exited the vehicle, and told me how fast I was going and left me go. I was going 76 in a 55.

My son got pulled over by a local cop in Virginia who told him to park his car; that he couldn't drive it in Virginia without a temporary tag.
Thing is, in Mississippi there's no such thing; you can drive on your App for Cert of Title for a few days, then with your Tag Receipt/ Registration Receipt until your custom plate shows up in the mail. So he can't get a temp plate from Mississippi, can't get one in Virginia..... so I told him to make one on his computer, print it out, and laminate it to the dealer tag on the car. I sure hope that same cop doesn't spot him. He's got all the legal documents, including copies of the tag stickers in his possession, but Barney Fife still didn't think that was good enough.... Hard to be inconspicuous in a RY 2SS/RS with black stripes in Mayberry.....

I live in VA and I think that cop is wrong, since the dealer is MS where the car is going to be registered does not require temp tags he is legal to drive it. had he gotten a ticket he could go to general district court and beat it. It would just be the hassell of doing it.

I am just hoping he doesn't get arrested for his "fake" Mississippi temporary tag between now and when his real one comes in. He's got to have transportation; he lives off-campus and it's exam week.

You only live once. Do it.
Most judges would understand he's trying to do good but the system ****ed him. |
