Post Count Disabled = Reduced Posts???

I wonder if the moderators disabled everyone’s post count if members post would drop. It seems like there are a lot of those here in a race to the highest number of posts. Is it just me or do others see it that way? Maybe it’s like this on other forums too. To each their own I guess… just bored this morning and thinking out loud.

I wouldn't notice unless I saw something this topic, lol. I pay no attention to someone's post count. I pay more attention to join date and such. I do think it would change how some people post though.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

LOL!

I would bail on this thought real fast man. I suggested it long ago and got flamed to hell by the post-trolls who think having a big number under your name is an accomplishment.

Ain't gonna happen.

I’m not suggesting that they disable it… I was just wondering if you guys thought that people’s posts would drop if they did not have the number under their avatar. I bring this up because my local car club has a web site and they do not keep track. It seems like you tend to get more responses with substance when there is no post count. I did not create the thread to get flamed… like I said in my first post… just thinking out loud.

Hey man, I'm totally 110% with ya. Like I said, I already made this suggestion awhile back, and got heat for it. I completely agree with your perspective, but it's not going to change.

Disabling it would make of us "low posters" feel better about our count. I mean, I've been on here two whole months and am not even to 200.

There are threads to which I want to reply, but I worry that I am too inexperienced of a poster. Everyone will just ignore me. Or laugh at me.

If they disabled the post count, I probably wouldn't post anywhere NEAR the number of posts I do now......I like being a post whore.
