PCV Valve

Is it just inside the valley cover where the PCV hose connects? Is there a recommended service on the PCV valve? I've never seen anything posted on it and was just wondering. I know my '01 Mercury Sable requires it to be replaced every so often. Thanks.

There is nne. It is a fixed orfice with a tiny hole that barely allows the crankcase to breathe and it clogs over time. We use the rear of the passenger side valve cover barb and cap the valley. Remove the drivers side valve cover and drill out the orfice to 7/64" if using the RX oil separating catchcan.

Very interesting thanks! I have an LS3 so my connections are already on the passengers valve cover. I'm surprised there's nothing in the owner's manual about PCV valve replacement if the orifice is so tiny and prone to clogging. Thanks for the response.

pcv valves are for cars that do not create enough of a vacuum by themselves aka tiny motor syndrome
