Fuse pull after oil change?

My friend has an LFX Camaro too... Last night me and him were just talking about our cars and he says he does a fuse pull everytime he gets an oil change. He swears it increases the power, or feel at least. Now I have heard of fuse pulls before but is this helpful, and if so are there any negatives to this?

from my understanding the point of a fuse pull is to reset octane tables so that it pulls the correct octane level depending on what engine you have. If its an lfx, it wouldnt make a difference as the lowest level octane is being used anyway. After i get oil changes my car certainly feels like it has more pep, and im thinking he might be mistaking that for a fuse pull effect when it cant be on the lfx.

The fuse pull only applies to the V-8 models, all in his head.
But if it makes him feel good don't tell him and ruin it.
