best power adder for the 1LE's 3.91 rear
What would match the 1LE's 3.91 the best. I will do track days with it and some street driving. I know turbo's like longer gearing but not sure about how they fit with the camaro as I am a newb to these machines. I have used Vortech in the past with excellent results and would not rule out a V3si or a P1sc1 . I am not looking for crazy power just a reliable boost in performance.

Turbos work with short gears too, just look at the rally cars, or the STi; turbos do well in just about any situation really. In fact, a shorter gear will result in less turbo lag.

Very true, my STi is well into 5th at the end of the strip. But, those gears are crazy fun for street driving

One of the first things I would do with a 1LE and drag racing is either put a 315/35r20 drag radial onto the stock wheels or get some 18's and run a 305/45r18. This will make the tires taller than the stock 1LE tires and help with gearing. Even then I'm not so sure you will be able to keep it into 4th through the traps with alot of power. Maybe trade someone for their 3.70 or 3.42 gear setup. 5th gear and drag racing is a bad idea.If talking about road racing diregard my post.

I was assuming 3.91's would put these cars right at the top of 4th through the traps. No? If I put a cam in and drag radials, I wanted gear to get me to top of 4th, or close to it. Anyone running that combo?
