Question How to clean rust spots off wheel core?

I've seen a few Camaros (mine included) with a little rust on the wheel core (inside the rotor).

What is the best way to get the rust off and keep it off?

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I imagine wd40 might be able to...

Thats the brake rotor, not a part of the wheel. If they're rusty you'll need to paint them.

WD-40 can work some miracles. lol I was told about this one time and I was like huh? Then I tried it to get some gunk off behind the area behind my front wheels and it pulled most of it right off.

Another post on painting them.. I used Red to give it a subtle kick.

Mine looked like that at 6000 miles. I don't want to paint them because I don't want the paint to heat up and the wheel to stick to the rotor. I just ordered new rotors and pads. I drilled and slotted rotors with the zinc coating.

If you find someone who knows what their doing like I did, paint them and your troubles are over, the brake pad gets no where near that area and a good high temp paint like used on the calipers will last until ur ready to replace the rotors. Small cost also
