solid rear diffuser...exhaust dump

Anyone running the solid rear diffuser Ofer has on his site? Just curious about exhaust coming in the car at all. I know it will sound different. I figured if I went that route I could dump after the rear diff but far enough forward I still had the jacking point under the battery.

I am also looking into the exhaust dump option but was thinking of combining the stainless works side exhaust with the electronic cut out option, or a single rear exhaust like a lambo or corvette. How much stop and go driving do you do? I would think if it is not your daily then dumping the exhaust would not matter on road course or waiting for the tree.

I'm running the solid diffuser on my car (I'm the only one that has it to my knowledge). I am completely straight piped and have turn downs after the rear diff. If you have mufflers its probably best not to get this diffuser because it WILL burn the diffuser if the exhaust shoots back.

you can get pretty low and still dump the exhaust. I can get almost on the ground still so clearance isn't an issue.

yeah...the gen5diy one is the one I'm talking about, and yes, I was going to dump after the rear diff and turn down slightly.

I have dumps, but run the ZL1 diffuser. Not as much a parachute effect, since the air has big holes to exit. It is on jackstands in this picture, but you get the idea. Lightest way to run the exhaust, for sure.

If you ran the solid diffuser, you'd really need to fab a sheet metal piece from the diffuser bottom to the chassis to keep the air from buffeting against the backside.

I think that is why I am going to leave as stock until someone comes up with something that is designed to properly divert air under the car. Those trash cans look like they help in that even though they and some weight, well more than some....

Have you looked at the ZL1 bellypan? I have one that is getting retrofitted onto the rear diffuser.

Could you send pics of it when it is done? That would solve the issue and then I can go side exhaust dump and get rid of the rear exhaust.
