******** box for pass side, also trunk rattle

I have a drivers side ******** box with a Kappa perfect 12" running of an alpline mrd 350, might change that to a JL 350

Sounds good, want a little more though, i had both of my Kappas in my cadillac and it was great.

Would really like to get the other installed. Is there a reason they dont make a 12 for the pass side? the image of the 10" box looks like it would fit, whats the deal??

Has anyone modded this box for a 12" or have a 10 and cant see why it doesn't work, id even consider adding a lip to the box to move the woofer out some, any ideas would be great

Also what are you guys doing about the trunk rattle? Mine is in the middle at the top by the rear window, very annoying.

Thanks

Joe

Sound deadening should get your trunk rattle under control.

I put a piece of weather stripping on the trunk lid where it meets the rear window and that solved the rattle that I think your having.

ah, can try that also

Ok started going through those links, now i have no idea what to do. Found B quiet, dynamat, then second skin, holy crap i now have less idea then when i started....

How thick should the lid mat be?? they have .067(almost ordered that till i saw 1/4" and 1/2" stuff) extreme? dynaliner? the carpet will cover it anyway or should i cover the entire lid?

I only plan on doing the lid for now, so dont really need the whole truck kit, maybe later, but really whats best for just the lid?

I mean i saw pics in the one link, why didnt they do the whole lid? just for looks?

This helped a ton! Why are you guys only doing part of the trunk lid?? Are you that worried about the look on the inside of the trunk lid?? I say stop the noise, who cares what the inside of the lid looks like, its quite dark in there anyway.....

BTW, the thickness of the dynamat at the weather seal locations helps with sealing and rattle, other strip may not be needed then

It was only 40* in the garage, will iron things out when it gets warm out....
