ls3 intake
How much is a stock ls3 intake worth? I found a pretty good deal on a fast and considering doing it. I know most say its not worth much power but if the cost is right I may try it.

150-175 bare. No TB and no fuel injectors or rails.

I see you are tuned by straightline. I'm talking to Nick about doing some work and he wants to do the heads and then says he can tell by vacuum loss if an intake will help Thats over my head for sure. We are looking into the new trick flow heads.

Inferno what are the specs on your cam?
Nick has always been the same guy to me for years. Yea TFS has been teasing us for about 2 years now with a 12* headed rectangular port lol. The flow numbers are pretty bad azz even at .700 lift. TFS has always had a good product I just hope they finally release them. I was waiting for them too and ended up with LPE's and the funny thing was that last year they were 1600 for the pair cnc'd, milled, assembled and shipped. Now they are like 2k lol. If not theres always WCCH with that FAST and you'll be good.

235/242 603/618 114 lsa. I talked to the guy a trickflow and he said the heads are in stock ready to assemble just waiting on valves. Hopefully he is being straight with me. Summit has them listed for 1199 ea expected ship date 2/25, I assume thats 2013

Have you seen the results of our ported ls3 intake/tb combo? we are making pretty much the same power as a fast and in turn it saves you a lot of money!

No I have not. How much power from intake and whats the cost? Is it hand ported or cnc'd? I have a v-max TB so assume it doesn't need done.

Here is a dyno sheet of our ported ls3 intake and tb combo on a car we did our custom cam on. car is an auto w/ a 3k stall, long tubes 1 7/8, and a cold air. this was also done at another shop to prove nothing was done to fluff the numbers. we literally did a pull, left it strapped down, swapped the intake/tb and with absolutely zero tune changes made another pull and this was the result
For just the intake we charge $325 and that includes shipping back to you. |
