Went to the 1/4 track for some runs.

I went to the track the other day for some shakedown runs and only managed a 11.4 at 127.63 with low-med boost. Was having problems with the boost controller so it would not stay at medium boost(7-8psi). It would go to med then back down to low(4-5psi) and then back up the whole way down the track. Before the low was 10psi(WG spring pressure) but traction was killing me so I changed the WG spring to 5psi. AEM said they think it is a bad solenoid so I am getting a new one.

Shooting for a low setting of 5psi, medium at 10psi and high at 15psi(meth) on pump gas then maybe 20psi on some race gas. Hoping for some low 10's high 9's with some 17's instead of the stock 20's.

Here is the slip:


I raised the boost a little and raced a Shelby GT 500 and it pulled a lot harder but the slip did not print out. You can still hear the car going in/out of boost. Felt like a low 11 to high 10 run. You can use the video as a timer and when the front reaches the cones that is where the finish line is. Have to take off on low boost then switch to medium boost in order to get traction.

I'm avoiding Bakersfield until the snow on the grapevine is loooong gone. Well, that's what I'm telling my family anyway.

The headlight is in my box of parts when ever you are ready for it.

I will be picking up a Hotchkis strut tower brace when their next production run is finished, I've got the Moroso chassis brace/drive shaft loop already installed, springs and sways are upgraded and I'm dying to get back on the track. I have a few more mods to make so I can stop and I've got to find some good track tires for the factory rims, then it will be full go until something breaks.

They are having an even on the 24th of this month at Famoso.

The car has Sinaloa plates so it is back home for the moment. Once I get it finalized I might go do some racing in the states as the tracks down here suck both in traction and DA. Not willing to drive to the Eastcoast to Cecil or Atco but Famoso has great DA this time of year and they prep the track pretty good.

Dan, let me get this thing in the 10's. Heck, I think it has a 9 in her at the right track.

Once I fix the solenoid for the boost controller and the solenoid for the methanol I will go to Cali for some Hail Mary runs just to see if you come out of hiding.
