TRADE: My Wheels For Yours

Hey C5!

First,

I have a set of stock SS wheels that have been glass bead blasted and preped for powdercoating. The blasting cost me $100. I don't really have it in the budget right now to have them coated. So, I am looking to trade, my blasted, ready to powdercoat wheels for your stockers. Polished wheels preferred.

This way, I get a stock set, you get a ready to coat set. I have a second set of wheels, so I would be willing to let you coat them before I take yours, so that there is no down time for you.

These wheels are in PERFECT shape, no curb rash to be found. Your set must be the same.

I WILL CONSIDER ANY 20 INCH WHEEL.

Thanks!

Normally you just pay for the powdercoating they take care of all of that I paid 400 for mine and they fixed all defects.

I'm not really sure what you're trying to tell me. These wheels have already been blasted, I can't afford to have them coated right now, so I'm trying to trade for a stock set.

I'm interested, but don't have the cash for the powdercoating.

Although a bit unconventional, it sounds like a fair deal to me. Would save someone that wanted to powdercoat some down time, and no one's car is down for any period of time.

What about the tire situation? Would you let the new owners get the tires changed over?

ETA: I see you said polished. Sorry man, mine are painted. Good luck!

At this point, I will take any offers if you think you'd like them. Changing tires over should be no problem. I will even drive them to a powder coaters, provided the trader pays of course.

Thanks for the kind words!

Hmmm, this is tempting, as I'm planning on powder coating mine at some point. I just won't have the cash for another month

This isn't about the rims but how much did it cost you to do the GM factory remote start?

Well... The price I paid is not the best price to determine the cost. I paid $183 installed, which is ridiculously low. I got my remote start installed around the time it came off of restriction from Chevy and the dealer didn't realize how much work was involved. You see, on a suburban or truck they would simply flash the BCM and program a new fob, done. With the Camaro, a wiring harness is need to move the box from the dash to the windshield. This requires them to remove part of the dash and move the remote system as well as flash the BCM. You also have to get another key cut because the key is attached to the remote (obviously).

Total price will probably run you $350 depending on labor costs.
