Beware of PineBelt Chevy dealers in NJ

I have a 2010 Camaro SS 6speed, which just had a leak from the tail shaft. The service writer at the dealer, (and later the service manager) refused to listen to my concern, and treated me as if I was too stupid to understand what was going on. They ignored my multiple attempts to discuss possible causes, and have tried to cover up exactly what was going on. They even (unknowingly) blamed their other location for poor repair work. The service manager even admitted he would not treat a man like they have treated me! Long story short, do NOT take your car here if you are in the NJ area. They spend more time covering up their ineptitude than repairing cars!

Probably Lakewood and the Freehold one since OP said "their other location".

Yes, specifically the rt 88 location. I contacted Freehold to verify work was done there originally, (i found the original temp tag in the car) they were semi-helpful until Lakewood contacted them, now I get no response.

Hope you get everything taken care of some how. I live in the area, so I'm familiar with all the dealerships around the shore

I bring my Camaro to Lester Glenn Chevy Rt 37 in Toms River. The service is good there. At least I feel the service is good. I have never had any problems.

We were told by the service writer there that due to the drive shaft being over tightened that's what caused the out put shaft seal to leak. So then I asked to speak with the mechanic and he told me a different reason.

Just a note to the OP and everyone else re negative comments about a company here on the net.
A relative of mine was sued for just this type of poor/negative review of a company and LOST in court.
Had to pay big $$$$ to the small business.

Send a message via AIM to 2011ss/rs
I bought a used 1982 Z-28 in 1983 from Pinebelt Chevy in Lakewood. The service department was horrible and I have not and will not buy from them every again.

Sounds horrible. Tell as many people as possible about your bad experience, hopefully the negative press has a nice impact on his business. There are hundreds of GM dealers in this state.

Nice to see all the NJ cars
