I have Stainless works LT's with cat delete and they don't hang down hardly at all. I would do some serious damage to the car by the time i hit the collectors.
In the photo you can see how low the collectors sit BEFORE even being all buttoned up tightly. They are tucked up there pretty good.

I'm running LG's and the clearance is decent but the power is incredible.

If you're slammed that low, you're going to tear up a set of headers, no matter how big or small. Going with 2in headers is going to make it even worse. I'd be surprised if there's a set of LT headers that aren't the lowest point under the car.

Not many brands of headers out there that tuck up that close in the tunnel to really "help" give you clearnance. Of the ones that do the best, I'd say that the LG and the SW's are prolly the tightest tucking of them that I've worked with. Ivan @ Southwest Speed |

I've got the texas speeds 2" headers and am lowered with BMR 1.4" drop springs up front. On steep entrances to gas stations are the only place I've scraped so far. Approaching a bump head on isn't a problem. They definitely are the lowest part of the car.
That being said the performance is great and well worth the trouble of being a little more careful on hilly turn-ins. |

This is how low I sit to a point where that plastic valence in the front scrapes if it more then a 1/2 bump

My Kooks 1 7/8 are at most a 1/2inch below the frame. I am lowered 1inch and have not come close to hitting anything. Would have loved this kind of ground clearance and header tuck with my 4th gen which scraped everything with a 1 1/2inch drop. I am surprised I didnt rip the entire exhaust out with that car.

Your best bet is going to be high flow catted midpipes. They tend to tuck a little better than headers and still offer decent performance gains.
