Turbo or Supercharger

Im thinking of getting a Turbo or a supercharger, Which would people recommend? i like the unexpected boost of a turbo, where as the supercharger is a general increase.

Also which kits would people recommend and does anyone know of anywhere in the UK that could fit them to a camaro?

Hi Tom,
Don't know who does them over here, but I would have a 'blower' personally on this type of engine. I just think when you go the turbo route you tend to lose that feel of grunt, which is kind of what these cars are about. With the blower all that fabulous low down grunt is still there, but more so Happy Days.

Sorry blower is just another name for supercharger or as the Germans like to say kompressor. All I was getting at was I think a charger suits this type of thing better. You did mention you quite like the idea of the 'kick up the backside' idea, which a turbo will certainly give you, but be in no doubt a supercharger will still do that, but with better gains everywhere else.
