pcm question

ok so I just picked up a left over 2012 ss from the local dealership. I have been told that I can not do any kind of tune on the car because it has a flash counter on it?

if this is true can I just buy a spare pcm to hold a tune then if I have any warrenty issues just throw the stock computer back in it?

No. It doesn't work that way. The ECMs are VIN matched and record mileage, etc.

There's no way around voiding your warranty if you want to tune.
