Header install Question?

Just got Long Tubes installed today and I noticed a small oil leak when I got the car back today, he told me that he had to re stab the dip stick but obviously it wasn't stabbed right, he is suppose to look at it and fix it tomorrow ... Just wondering where is it that the oil could possibly be coming from ....

Sounds like either the o ring has come off the dipstick tube or the dipstick tube just needs to be pushed down a little bit more to properly seat it!

I'm kinda new to this so I'm sure there is nothing that I can do to help this issue until the morning... Or is thre bc I don't have jack stands..... So if It is the O ring , can that be easily replaced and can I get that at a parts house....

Getting the dipstick tube back in the block is probably the hardest step. Don't ask how I know. It's alot like trying to piss in a beer bottle that's sitting on the ground with your hands tied behind your back after drinking a 12 pack..

putting the dipstick back in is not as hard as people make it out to be on these forums. Of course if you're trying to do it by yourself it might be difficult, but why sit there and struggle when you can just get a helping hand to guide it in, in less than 2 minutes.

See if the dip stick is bolted to the head first if it is then just unbolt it and push down on it til it pops in, you'll feel it. Don't push down like hulk just push it down. I'd say look at it from underneath but you don't have jack stands and NEVER TRUST A JACK!!!

Take the handle part out and just install the tube by itself! If you are by yourself, just put your tube close to where it goes( you know where it bolts back up) then go underneath and make sure it's in the hole where it goes, there is a little tiddy on the block. You can use your fingers to push down a little to make sure it's seated! Might can do it from up top too!
As little88 says, make sure you have some stands or something under your car before you crawl under your car! NEVER trust just the jack!
