I ordered a Flowmaster Outlaw Axle Back kit and had it installed today, and it didn't sound as loud as I expected. It still sounds good, just not quite what I expected. Seems like I read somewhere that the sound will change after running it for a while, but I can't swear to it. Is there a break in period, and possibly a change in the sound after a certain time frame?

There is not technically a break in period on exhaust but with some miles most exhaust do experience some sound change.

I have Flowmasters as well. Not sure about the type because the muffler shop welded them in, it wasn't an axle back... But they definitely weren't loud at all and really disappointed me. So I got longtubes and cutouts and it's really awesome now
