Heel/Toe downshifting in the ZL1

I have found virtually impossible to heel/toe while downshifting in the ZL1 due to the height of the brake pedal in relation to the accelerator, which quite a bit lower. I've never had this issue while racing Corvettes and was hoping someone has some suggestions or a fix. Really looking forward to running the car at Homestead this weekend and beating some foreign iron, but don't want wind up in the weeds.

Speaking of Vetts, the new Stingray has Rev Matching for downshifts. I know that's been in the foreign cars forever, but I can't wait to test drive one!
