19" Drag radials or?
I am looking for new tires for my 1LT camaro (2010)
I currently run P245/50R 19" tires. I am looking for drag radials for my car. I am not sure if they even have 19" drag radials....... Do I need to go to a smaller rim? If so can you pass me a site that sells them? This is for a summer car (NO WINTER) and an everyday driver (Yes I am aware of what a hazard it would be to drive in the rain) |

So I can drive my 750 rwhp+ car on regular tires but you feel the need to run drag radials on a V6? But, it's your car so it's your call. If you want a drag radial that is prob the best for street driving look into the Nitto 555r. That's about the most versatile DR out. If they make a 19" one. That'll be the hard part. Odd size for a drag radial. I just bought the Nitto NT 05 for my street driving. I'm getting them mounted on Monday but here's a link for them: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...%2FPerformance |

They do not sell the 19" which bums me out.... Do you think an 18 or 20" tire would fit? I was thinking this: http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse....82710&pID=7765 Or http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse....82650&pID=7762 |

Yes, 18's or 20's will both work assuming the wheel is made with the camaro offset and lug pattern. |

I assume this is what you meant by radials... If yes will this fit aswell? http://www.mustangpowerparts.com/nint283.html I am not too sure what you mean by camaro offset/lug pattern.... I can tell you that my car is stock... it is the special edition that came with the tires I put in up above. |

If you switch to an 18" wheel just make sure that its made to fit the camaro. That's all. You don't have the Brembos so you will not have a caliper clearance problem. |

Now I think I know what you'll say next. Should I bother with the drag radials or should I go with the NT555 performance tires? Are those better then the pirelli's I have on? |

Awesome, they are cheaper too so I am down for that lol
One last question... Are my old tires better/stickier? http://www.carid.com/pirelli-tires/p...on-467042.html Or would the nitto performance spin less? |

Not really. Once you wear the tread down the tire carcass gets much harder so they'll spin more. So if you wore them smooth you'd think you'd have a sticky slick but its a concrete doughnut. Plus if it rains you're f#^ked!! |

Or are you saying the nitto's are better? I just want to make a good tire choice. |

Ha, sorry, my bad. When you said old I thought you meant worn out not the original tires. Pretty much the same difference. No advantage or disadvantage. Try and match up the traction rating and wear rating.
